Dove Tree is located in Greenville, South Carolina. Greenville is situated in the North West of South Carolina, South of the Blue Ridge mountains that divide South Carolina and Tennessee, and West of the ever popular Myrtle Beach and Charleston. There are many native Greenvillians still living in this wonderful area, as well as fresh imports relocating here for the warmer weather and for employment with big international companies such as BMW, Michelin, General Electric and most recently ICAR. Residents in Greenville come from places as far away as Australia, Japan and Europe.
The Dove Tree community is situated on the Eastside, a highly desirable area of Greenville County. Nestled amongst 100+ acres of mature trees and bubbling streams, Dove Tree is isolated yet extremely convenient to I-85 and I-385. Downtown is approximately a ten minute driving distance away. Shopping can be found minutes away on Woodruff Road, Pelham Road, Laurens Road, Greenridge Commons and one of the Upstate's largest malls, Haywood Mall.
Dove Tree consists of 160+ dwellings. All houses sit on about half an acre or more of mature trees. The development began in 1973 and contains many new or recently renovated homes. House sizes vary from 2200 sq. ft. to approximately 4000 sq. ft. Homes are set back from the wide roads and collection of small cul-de-sacs.
Allocated to Dove Tree are award winning schools such as Pelham Road Elementary, Beck Academy and J L Mann High School.
As a resident of Dove Tree, you can enjoy the amenities of two tennis courts, a 25 meter sized pool with separate diving board area, a toddler pool and a clubhouse.
Very local to the Dove Tree residents is an added bonus, Oak Grove Lake. Managed by Greenville County Recreation District, it is within walking distance of Dove Tree. On a daily basis you can find fathers and sons' fishing, children riding their bikes, families playing catch with their dogs, runners jogging around the lake and of course, children feeding the resident ducks. The lake is also the location of Dove Tree's annual Halloween festivities. Come out and see all the children (and some adults), dressed up in their costumes. There are age appropriate competitions and a hayride around the lake behind the local sirening fire truck.
Although all home sites are privately set, there is a true sense of community. Neighbors know each other and you will often find them talking to one another in front yards. People arrange to walk together on the gently rolling roads of Dove Tree, and you will always pass by another dog walker or jogger on your morning or early evening stroll.
